Dandelion Wine

“Yahoo called me eight weeks ago,” he said, voice rising. “They wanted to put a book of mine on Yahoo! You know what I told them? ‘To hell with you. To hell with you and to hell with the Internet.’ “It’s distracting,” he continued. “It’s meaningless; it’s not real. It’s in the air somewhere.”

Small steps, big leaps

Solar power isn't the solution for everything, but it can offer big savings for what may seem like minor needs . . . solar-powered trash cans that could save $13 million over 10 years. Even if you subtract maintenance fees, that has to be worth the initial cost.

Here in the San Fernando Valley, we get more than our share of sun and I would install solar roof panels if I could afford it - or, even paint our roof white if I didn't think we would blind our neighbors.
